Cannot establish any listening sockets

I am running MacosX on a G4, 466 mhz. I have XFree86 4.2 running an I am
trying to run gnome within full-window xdarwin. I receive the error:
_XSERVTransSocketINETCreatedListener: . . .SocketCreateListener () failed
–XSERVTransMakeAllcotSServerListeners: Server already running
Cannot establish any listening sockets.
Is there anything I can do?
