Internet logging

Is there a Gnome equivalent of KPPP, which will connect to the internet and 
log how long one is connected together with the phone call cost? It is for 
use with a dial-up modem.

Importantly, I need the facility to eventually transfer the logs to a 
spreadsheet.

I have tried to find such a program, but can't. Either a combined program, or 
just one for the logging will be OK. I can always use WVDial for connecting.
