Re: can't find jpeglib.h - Was (no subject)

One thing I tried was manually putting jpeglib.h into /usr/local/include and then /usr/include but still no go. For some reason I don't think that the jpeg package installs its self (only seems to install the utilities) because i had to move the library to /usr/local/lib too which got me to this point. So, I'm just woundering where the heck jpeglib.h is supposed to go. :o)

It seems the configure script for gdk-pixbuf-0.10.1 is REALLY messed up.

Hi all,

I've been meaning to mail this in, but looks like jared beat me to
it.... i get this problem (can't find the headers for the image libs,
png, pjeg, tiff, giff) in EVERY gnome package that uses them.... i've
been hacking around it, but would like to see it fixed.

checking for jpeglib.h... no
configure: warning: *** JPEG loader will not be built (JPEG header file
not found) ***

i've noticed from config.log that the test compile that configure
generates doesn't include $PREFIX/include, which is MAJOR for me, since
i have EVERYTHING that gnome uses in a user directory.... where would we
fix this that all the packages will pick up the fix?

Ken
