gnumeric problem

okay i'm running red hat 7.2 (roswell). i finally managed to get evolution
up and running but in the process it broke gnumeric. well after about an
hour of work today i managed to get gnumeric running but only when logged
in as root (i.e. when i do 'su -'). running the application any other way
will cause and error generated saying i need to reinstall gnome-print.
well that's how i fixed it. i uninstalled gnome-print and all it's
components and then re-installed them in this order:

Gtk-Perl
libgnomeprint11
gnome-print
gnumeric

does anyone have any idea why this is happening?

On the side of the software box, in the 'System Requirements'
section, it said 'Requires Windows 95 or better'.
So I installed Linux!
