It seems all I needed to do was remove a line from the original .spec file
that was:
%{?suse_update_config:%{suse_update_config -f popt libIDL}}
This time, running "rpm -ba orbit.spec" exited with a "0" status and said
that it had written the following files:
/usr/src/packages/SRPMS/orbit-0.5.12-1.src.rpm
/usr/src/packages/RPMS/i386/orbit-0.5.12-1.i386.rpm
/usr/src/packages/RPMS/i386/orbit-devel-0.5.12-1.i386.rpm
I looked, and the files are there. So, can someone explain to me what the
lione I removed means. I know popt is used by rpm to parse lines, but what
is it doing? Obviously I do not earn my money as a programmer. Thanks for
any clues.
