Odd mouse wheel behaviour

Hi I am running Roswell2, XFree4, Gnome 1.4 latest evolution with ttf
support working

What I am noticing is that when I scroll with my mousewheel (generic
using IMPS2) it seems to bounce, ie: I scroll down and page seems to
rebound

Anyone got ny idea where to start looking to solve this problem
