RE: Ximian Gnome 1.2 on Solaris/Sparc. WM problems!



Make sure you have the GNU tar installed. I had problems with Sawfish (although not what you are mentioning) and that got resolved by installing the gnu tar and making sure my path to it is set before the SUN tar.

Go to http://www.sunfreeware.com to get it.
