gnome-terminal not launching the URL handler upon URL click...

This is on RedHat 7.1 (kernel 2.4.2) on an x86, out-of-the-box fresh install
+ latest updates (as of 5/4/01 @ ~11PM PDT) with a fresh GNOME configuration
(wiped out all X Windows related stuff from homedir, logged in again to
create new ~/.gnome, etc).

For some reason or another, I'm suddenly not able to get the URL handler to
run when clicking on a link. The URL handler is set to the correct app
(gnome-moz-remote), and invoking gnome-moz-remote manually produces correct
results. I know that the URL handler is not being run *at all* because
replacing it with, for example, a script which creates a file in /tmp
results in the file not being created.

I've searched the web, mailing list archives & GNOME documentation, but it
seems no one else is (publically) having this problem. At least, from what I
could see anyways.

Did the updates break it? Am I doing something wrong?

Packages that were updated after the OOTB install were:

Xconfigurator-4.9.29-1.i386.rpm netscape-common-4.77-1.i386.rpm
arts-2.1.2-1.i386.rpm netscape-communicator-4.77-1.i386.rpm
gftp-2.0.8-1.i386.rpm rhn_register-1.3.2-1.noarch.rpm
losetup-2.11b-3.i386.rpm rhn_register-gnome-1.3.2-1.noarch.rpm
mount-2.11b-3.i386.rpm up2date-2.5.4-1.i386.rpm
mouseconfig-4.22-1.i386.rpm up2date-gnome-2.5.4-1.i386.rpm

Please let me know if you need any additional information.
