gnome-cal and mail

is there a way to configure GNOME calendar to use a specific domain name
when sending out e-mail reminders?  as it stands it is adding my host name
to the e-mail from addy.  let me be more specific:

jwallen techrepublic com is what i need
jwallen geddy tech techrepublic com is what is being used.

i realize that i could try to mess with sendmail to solve this problem
but let's face it sendmail is not the easiest beast to configure. with
applications like pine and such i can configure a specific domain name.
so....can this be done with GNOME calendar?
