Hi everybody,
I'm trying to configure gnome-utils-1.3.1 for debian (last stable release).
An error occurs every time the configuration script reaches Glade section.
I have spent almost two days trying to solve the problem. Just now, I went
probably crazy.
If you can help me, PLEASE HELP.
Here is a description of the problem:
running "./configure"
***
...
checking for Glade libraries >= 0.11
configure error: Did not find libGlade installed.
***
the config.log file looks like this:
***
...
configure:6006: checking whether guile works
configure:6021: gcc -o conftest -g -O2 -Wall -Wunused -I/usr/lib/glib/include
-I/usr/X11R6/include -I/usr/include -rdynamic -L/usr/local/lib -L/usr/lib
-L/usr/X11R6/lib conftest.c -lm -L/usr/lib -lguile -lqthreads -ldl -lm 1>&5
configure:6312: checking for Glade libraries >= 0.11
end of file
***
the same problem occurs during configuration of version 1.2.0
- libraries I have installed (libglade0, libglade0-dev, libglade-gnome0,
libglade-gnome0-dev) are of version 0.11-2, which is acceptable for requirements.
- glade is also installed (version 0.5.5-1)
- the weird thing is, that "so" files for libglade0 and libglade-gnome0 are "libglade.so.0.2.5" and "libglade-gnome.so.0.2.5"
- the moduleversion in "libgladeConf.sh" is set up to "0.11"
- permissions for "libgladeConf.sh" are set up to: read and exec - everybody , write - only user
is there any way how to solve problem without using packages from unstable release?
I will be eternally thankful for the help -scud
