When I installed Gnome 1.4 on top of RH 7.1, I lost some keyboard
bindings.
I'm not sure of all parameters, but it seems usually related to the
Ctl key, rather than Alt- or Shft- key combinations.
For example, I can use Shft-> to select characters; Shft-Ctl-> does
select word; but Ctl-> does not jump words (it does nothing).
Another example: I can't change workspaces (in DeskGuide) from the
keyboard using the special function keys. I used to be able to jump to
workspace N by typing Ctl-FN. That no longer works.
I used to be able to give the window on the current desktop the focus
by typing Alt-Tab, but that does not seem to work anymore. Or has the
keyboard control of what window gets the focus changed?
I'm running Sawfish. Under its shortcuts configuration, by default it
seems you can move to next or previous workspace by typing W-> or
W<-. Since context Help does not work under Gnome configuration, I've
no idea what "W" refers to, but typing W-> or just -> does not move me
to the next workspace.
At what level (X, window manager, desktop) are keybindings set? How do
I see the settings or edit them? Or, better, in this case, since
bindings seem broken, but how to fix?
