cannot read webpages on Nautilus, only source

I have one problem with Nautilus that I can't seem to fix.
When I put a URL in the "location" box, Nautilus goes to the URL but instead of displaying a webpage, it only displays the source (text).  Does anyone know how I can fix this, or is the functionality of Nautilus limited in this manner at present?
