Switching desktops

I opted for GNOME as default desktop with RedHat-7.1,
but I recently changed to KDE by using the GNOME Desktop changer,
and now I am unable to change back!
I chose GNOME in K>System>Destop Switching tool and re-booted,
but I still enter KDE.
I couldn't see what it is in my home directory
that opts for KDE over Gnome.

Any suggestions gratefully received.
