I am running kernel 2.2.14-15mdk and trying to complile the GNOME
libraries and encountering the following error. I have been able to
find lists of software that must be installed to compile the libraries,
but no specific instructions. I have read the README with the newest
version of the libraries, but am still having problems.
I re-did ./configure, make, make install on ORBit. I then removed
config.cache from gnomelibs and did ./configure. It worked and seemed
to find everything. However, when I ran make, it was going fine until:

I would appreciate any help with this specific problem or would love to
be pointed in the right direction to find directions for compiling the
GNOME libraries.
TIA,
