gnome-session error

Hello,

    I recently upgraded to the latest version of gnome.  Everything
went fine during installation; however, when I try to login I get an
error logged in my .xsession-errors file that says that gnome-session
could not start because of an unresolved symbol.  I don't have it
in front of me, but the symbol was _ice...  The shared object ICE
library has a version of something like 6.3.  BTW, I'm running
MetroX; although, not the latest release, on Matrox G400 cards.
Also, I'm running Kernel 2.2.18 and RH 6.1.  Any ideas?
