Help! dbopen() not found

Hi, I downloaded gnome-libs 1.2.8 and tried to install it on a Solaris 2.7
machine. But the configure script complained that it can't find
dbopen() in -ldb or -ldb1 or elsewhere, and couldn't go on. I then
downloaded gdbm, compiled and installed it using "make install-compat",
but still the configure script can't find dbopen().
Could anyone help me in solving this problem? Thanks a lot!
