gnome-install trouble on Slack 4.0

Guy's I am stubbling on the caplets libraries.

First it wasn't found when I tried to compile gnome-core.

Previously on the mailing list some said to install control-center.

I'm trying that but the ./configure works, but the compile dies on this
line.
