I was wondering if it was safe to simply copy the ~/.gnome* directories
from one computer to another in order to duplicate the Gnome 1.2 desktop
and panel settings on the second computer (assuming both have identical
installations and directory structure). Is there a better way? Are those
directories documented anywhere? In general, I haven't found any "Gnome
for sysadmins" documentation (other than a few man pages); is there such a
thing? Thanks!
