screen saver and power save mode

I'm using Solaris 7 on an ultra and Helix 1.2.  I have it set so that
the screen saver kicks in, then a few moments later, the power
management is supposed to kick in and power down the screen.  The
screensaver kicks in but the power management stuff never does.  This
used to work.  Anyone fixed this yet?
