I follow KDE, although I do not personally run it, and I've been very
impressed with their ability to churn out new stuff. Bully for you guys!

Steve is alluding to sexual motives here, I believe;)

IMHO, I've always taken offense when someone has suggested that GNOME and
KDE work together, or become one entity. I find it sportslike that the two
can compete in a friendly manner. I don't claim to do anything horribly
important for either movement, except the occasional bug report, and trying
to help individuals who post to the list, but I enjoy the sense of
competition that I feel when I see that KDE has posted a new version, or
something to that effect;) It makes me wanna grab some caffiene, and
squash bugs for Gnome! I think the competitive, yet friendly spirit drives
both projects to create new and better code. There should definitely be
areas where the two should mix, but I prefer to have a choice when it comes
to my Linux desktop (although its not limited to Linux mind you), something
I have no control over on most other platforms.

Is there problems when people try and work together across KDE and GNOME?
I've never tried;)

I've never compared them on a level like what you are asking for, nor am I
familiar enough with the underlying systems of KDE to properly criticize
anyone on either side, so I'll tip my hat to someone who knows more than me;)

GEEZ STEVE WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!!! ;)

>PS I'm ducking already!

This isn't flame bait, it's a valid question. Flamebait would be 'KDE
sucks! Gnome rules!' followed by a shpleel written by someone who
obviously has never used either one.
