I appreciate the licencing problems, but this does not stop us sharing
standards and coding ideas (even if we can't use the exact code.)
I'd rather not get into a licence debate here if at all possible (let's face
it we've already far *far* too many of those.) I personally consider the QT
licence sufficent for myself to use, unlike the old system which was
completely unacceptable.
I appreciate that others feel differently, but we should (and I mean all
open source or near open source developers) not cut off our noses here.

Qt is not open source, not gpl'd. That's always been the reason that
KDE is the wrong one to use.
