cursor blanking ..

Hi lovely people,

I have found that gnome-terminal blanks my mouse pointer when I'm
typing. The problem is that blanking is not working with my video card
and turns into a something weird bar across my screen. I know it's not a
problem with gnome because it also happens with xscreensaver. The
question is, can I disable this in gnome-terminal.
