colors

Hi,

I am working on porting an application which uses OpenGL (Mesa) and
Motif to Linux.  The GUI finally came up this week but the colors were
all messed up. Gray was white, red had a greenish hint etc. Is GNOME
sucking up all the colors or is there a special way to get at the colors
once GNOME is running?
