juergen@anna:~ > gmc --version
Gnome gmc 4.5.50

juergen@anna:~ > gmc --geometry=1000x1000+0+0
Can't resolve host name "unix"!

gmc really seems to know but ignore the --geometry option.

BTW: Is there anyboby who knows what these 'Can't resolve host name "unix"!' 
message mean?
