Did he mean to change the mane of the unpacked
directory?

i.e. it likely untars to directory: "jones-0.33.3"

...change this to "jones" ?

	This makes no sense.  The first instructions say to unpack the
tarball, so what does it matter what the .tar.gz's filename is?

	What is your rationale?
