New gettext available?

Is there a newer version of gettext than 0.10.35? Panel in cvs hides
strings in defines, and so they remain untranslated. BUGS from the
gettext tarball says:

- the C code parser currently does not know anything about macro.  I.e.
  keyword with translations in the macro text are not found.

(Files affected are panel/menu.[ch])
