Another compile problem gnome-core

Hi,

I am having another problem with compiling gnome-core-1.0.9 on my
pentium 75 box running redhat 5.2.
I was having a problem with the compilation originally due to not having
gettext on my system.  So I  downloaded the sources for gettext-0.10.35 as
an rpm and rebuilt it.
I reran configure and make for gnome-core and got the following error and
subsequent death of make:
