This works fine on my system, but it still leaves unanswered the question why
Gnome doesn't remember your WM choice between sessions? I had a heck of a
time getting Gnome to understand that I wanted WindowMaker, not
Enlightenment. Forcing it with the above command worked, but not without
it. But in general I've found that it's a Bad Thing to try to change WMs in
gnomecc. I tried that with wmG, and it hosed one of my accounts--wmG would
always start without titlebars, and I'm not sure if I ever cleaned it up
(once it started nicely, but not since then). Of course that could be a wmG
problem. Who knows--I have something that works, and I have too many other
things to trouble-shoot right now.
