Compiling mc

I have some problem compiling mc (from CVS). I have gnome-libs-1.0.16,
gnome-core HEAD, gtk+ 1.2.3.
I used this command to make configure
# autogen.sh --prefix=$GNOMEDIR --with-gnome=$GNOMEDIR
--with-ext2undel --with-edit --with-ncurses
