Re: fontmap missing! gurulabs to blame? (NO)



The fontmap file is a generated file, and hence is not part of the
package.  Since it can possibly be different for different machines, you  
can't store size/checksum information about the file in the RPM.  This is
why you did not get any problems from a verify.

Just a small note, the spec file for gnome-print should probably list
%{prefix}/share/fonts/fontmap as part of the package with the %ghost
attribute.  This way it will remove the file with the rest of the package,
but not give an error about it not existing when building the RPM.  The
spec file in CVS does not have this in it.  I don't know about the spec
file for the gurulabs RPMs.
