OK,
I want to start a program from ~/.xsession:
#!/bin/sh
xconsole -geometry 535x150+50+0 -file /dev/xconsole &
exec gnome-session
added the window manager (icewm-gnome) from the gnome control center and
checked the 'Window manager is session managed' box.
Without 'gnome-session' the window comes up with the correct
geometry, however, if gnome-session is managing, the xconsole
window resets to its default size as soon as the panel comes up....
I am clueless.
Strange enough, session-properties shows a line like:
xconsole -file /dev/xconsole, so without the '-properties'.
