Exactly my point.  GTK+ is a general toolkit where there is almost no policy
specified.  GNOME widgets follow more policy which can be specified in
configuration files.

There are a lot of little things that people can get used to that work in a
GNOME app but won't work in a GTK+ app.  This is again the consistency part.
I for example can get used to accelerators on menus gettting saved and
reloaded automatically, or I can get used to a particular way I can set up
dialogs.  (for example where they appear) ... I can also get used to dropping
files into file entries and it working correctly. Remember these are just a
couple of these things and there are many more, some of which WILL be
relevant to almost any app.
