problem with panel (gnome-core 1.0.53)

Hi!

After a short time the panel freezes, it's still running but it doesn't
respond to mouseclicks anymore. It prints the following message to the
console:

** WARNING **: discarding message type 1 (id possibly -1073744872)

I'm using Suse 6.0 and I installed this packages:

gtk+-1.2.6.tar.gz
libghttp-1.0.4.tar.gz
libgtop-1.0.2.tar.gz
libxml-1.7.3.tar.gz
esound-0.2.13.tar.gz
imlib-1.9.5.tar.gz
gnome-core-1.0.53.tar.gz
gnome-libs-1.0.53.tar.gz
gtk-engines-0.8.tar.gz
 
Before I was using gnome from CVS. Are there perhaps some files leftover I
have to delete?
