Building RPMs?

Anyone else having trouble building RPMs using the .spec files generated
by configure in the rest of the gnome tarballs? Only ORBit-0.5.0 made RPMs
ok using "make rpms". The rest of the packages didn't have a make rule for
RPMs, so for those I tried doing what the ORBit Makefile was doing for
"make rpms", which was make distcheck then, say for
control-center-1.0.53, "rpm -ta ./control-center-1.0.53.tar.gz".

But when doing that, rpm would go thru the build process, then after
the compile finishes, just quietly exit after printing:
