Re: adding mime-types



- What control-center version are you using? -> Try a newer one.
- If you want to change the entries by hand (and system wide),
- add the following files in your gnome_path/share/mime-info  :
- e.g. for Lyx create the file lyx.mime with the content:

text/x-lyx
        ext: lyx

- and the file lyx.keys with the content:

text/x-lyx:
        open=lyx %f
        view=lyx %f
       
icon-filename=/usr/share/pixmaps/icons/PencilOverDesktopPublishingDocumentLetterW.xpm
