About widget [mem leak?]

I was testing a small app which currently only has a menubar and an
about widget.

I ran gtop and then my app. I noticed that the 

RSS size was: 3156 and SHARED: 2272

I opened the about widget from the menu and now:

RSS: 3280 and SHARED: 2336

I opened the about widget again an now.

RSS: 3284 and SHARED: 2336

I pressed OK and noticed that now the memory usage was:

RSS: 3288 and SHARED: 2336

I thought there must be something wrong with my program so I tested
other gnome apps gEdit and gnorpm.

It looks like there are 4 bytes increase in RSS when one opens the
dialog and 4 increase when one closes it.

What to make out of this I'm not sure. Can somebody enlighten me?
