I've been reading all this with interest. Sounds like a unique way to do things
A rough simulation of the basic idea can be had with enlightenment.
Turn on new desktops slide in, edge resistance on, and flip delay real low
I imagine a bit of hacking in Enlightenment to glue the desktops together
(last one flips to the first) would give a rough approx of what is being
discussed.
