Another gnome-lib compilation error

Hi all, I managed to sort out my esd problem thanks to Dave Neuer, but
now, when I go to make the libs, I get this error up part of the way
through...

.libs/libgnomeui.so: undefined reference to gtk_menu_get_accel_group'

now, I have gtk+ 1.2.0 installed as all the important files that the
version of gnome needed came with it on the cd.

any ideas??
