Esd,Redhat 6.0 ViaVoice?

Hi there,
I have a clean Redhat 6.0 Install,and I was trying to run ViaVoice
...However,it looks for /dev/dsp,which doesn't work since esd is
default.How can I make ViaVoice (and other programs that look for
/dev/dsp in order to open audio-such as Hopkins FBI) to work under
Redhat 6.0 and Gnome?
