Hi,

I saw this error message when I was trying to compile gdm a while back.
 In the list archive, someone mentioned that the problem might be fixed
 by including the flag "-lnls" or is it "-lnsl" in the Makefile of the
 offending gdm source code.  This worked.  Try it and see.
