wxGTK-2.1.0-b3 compile errors

Hi Everyone,

I downloaded the latest and greatest version of WxGTK (version 2.1.0
beta 3) and tried compiling it so that I might be able to compile
Mahogany mail client with it. The compile process keeps stopping with
the following errors:

c++ -c -o common/db.o -Wall -D_REENTRANT  -O2   -DGTK_NO_CHECK_CASTS -I.. -I/var/tmp/gnome/wxGTK/src/zlib -I/var/tmp/gnome/wxGTK/src/png -I/var/tmp/gnome/wxGTK/src/jpeg -D__WXGTK__ -I/var/tmp/gnome/wxGTK/include -I. -I/usr/X11R6/include -I/usr/local/lib/glib/include -I/usr/local/include -I/var/tmp/gnome/wxGTK/src/iodbc -I/usr/X11R6/include   ../common/db.cpp

Has anyone else seen these errors? Is there a way around them?

On another note, I downloaded a binary version of Mahogany and
installed it. When I try to edit the preferences, I get a blurred
image of the things that I am supposed to modify. I wish that I could
be more descriptive but that is about the best that I can do. The
preferences window comes up and everything is all mashed together. Has
anyone else experienced this? This is why I am trying to compile it
myself. But if there is a way to make the binary work properly, that
would be great.
