I see from Freshmeat:

EasyGTK 0.10
EasyGTK is a wrapper library to make GTK programming easier, and quicker.
A typical 30 lines function in GTK can easily be reduced to 5 lines in
EasyGTK. EasyGTK can easily be learned in a few hours, compared with days
or weeks for GTK.

The words, "oh no, not *another* library" springs to mind :(

Surely all this stuff only adds to the time it takes to process all the
runtime code? GTK is already slow enough without another intermediary to
referee business :(
