Strange mc .31 icon problem

Hi,

   I got some strange problem when switching from .30 to .31.
   All icon images are shifted by about 16 pixel to the right,
   but the shape stays as it is. (So you see the normal shape,
   1/2 of it grey, the other half is the original icon)

Any Ideas what could cause this ?

$ imlib-config --version
1.9.4
$ gtk-config --version
1.2.2
