Re: a gnome question (fwd)



This kind of thing would be addressed by my system wide config defaults
idea I mentioned on gnome-hackers.  I have finished my patch that
implements this, and it keeps binary compatibility, so all applications
would benefit from this after an ugrade of gnome-libs.

Basically it allows you to set default values for config variables by
putting config files in $(datadir)/gnome/config, and they will act as the
fallback if user configs are missing.

So this sort of thing will be easy in the future (get the config right,
then copy the config files to $(datadir)/gnome/config), but I am not sure
if it is possible right now.
