Re: Installation problems.



Try running rpm --rebuilbdb after installing rpm packages it's sorta like
running ldconfig, that might help also make sure you did the remove of
gtk+1.0.6 and glib-1.0.6 and installed gtk+10 and glib10, some times it's
also better to just compile it i know it takes much longer than just
rpm -Uvh *.rpm but you usually get less errors once it's started and it
seems to work 100% better over the rpm's cause it's compiled against your
libs and your compiler not what some one else had, also when you remove
items "packages" it would be rpm -e --nodeps <firstname> not the whole thing
like foo-1.0.6.i386.rpm that might be your problem. hope tis helps you out.
