RE: Can't login thru gdm

The gdm-1.0.0-5 RPM contains /etc/pam.d/gdm.  I'm getting the "error in
loading shared libraries ... __register_frame_info" message when it
tries to start.  I reckon I should know what this means, but I
don't, and I couldn't find any discussion about it in any glibc
documents.  Could somebody offer a non-RTFM solution maybe?  TIA
