Have you looked at gbuild module in cvs? My own script is based somewhat on
that. I do weekly, sometimes daily, updates from cvs, depending on what has
changed. To checkout gbuild, do:

Note: If you have you don't have a gnome source directory, make one then cd into
it then do:

export CVSROOT=":pserver:anonymous@anoncvs.gnome.org:/cvs/gnome"
cvs login
cvs -z3 checkout gbuild

At the cvs login, it will ask for a password, just hit Enter.

Sometimes, cvs will reject you but don't worry since it just mean you need to
try and try again.:) Of couse, this assumes you are using bash, but if you are
using other shells, you'll need to adopt above commands.
Also, once you have the script, you'll want to change things, so look through
the scripts.
