RE: GTK+ Compile problems

Thanx for the info... I found a copy of the output from the make I did. The
following is the error I recieved right at the end of the process, again
this is on a FreeBSD 2.2.8 box

testgtk.c:1854: Undefined symbol `_gdk_window_get_root_origin' referenced
from text segment

In addition to the above there were two instances that referred to
interlibary dependencies, it kept going though and didn't seem to mind to
much.

*** Warning: inter-library dependencies are not known to be supported.
*** All declared inter-library dependencies are being dropped.
*** The inter-library dependencies that have been dropped here will be

If there's anything else I can send to get this taken care of let me know.
I've been trying to get Gnome going for what feels like forever.

Thanx,
Steve

Hello Steve,

it seems, that you are trying to compile it on a FreeBSD Box?
Iīm using here GTK+ (now in the 1.2.3 Version) on FreeBSD 3.1 without
any problems and it compiles even on my the old versions without any
problems (Iīm talking about the stable-versions, I havenīt tried the
developers versions).

[ Just to say, that itīs possible, in principle ]

Bye,
