Making GNOME i686 RPMS from SRPMS

I have no prob. rebuild RPMS from .SRPMS, but this makes i386.rpm.
However, I'd like to make optimized RPMS for Pentium II (i686 rpms...)
I tried to modify my RPM OPT FLAGS in /usr/lib/rpmrc for something like
:
-mpcu=pentiumpro march=pentiumpro -06 -fno-exceptions
But it still produce i386.rpm... what am I doing wrong??

Help please ! Using Redhat 6.0...
