i have built gnu gettext 0.10.35, but for some reason i still get the same
errors. during configure time, i get the following:

--omit-header: not found
found xgettext program is not GNU xgettext; ignore it


version info:

[bradh@cage] /usr/home/bradh$ xgettext --version
xgettext - GNU gettext 0.10
[bradh@cage] /usr/home/bradh$ 


i have done the following:

ldconfig -m /usr/local/lib   (which contains libintl.*)
